Company formation

Register your company in Kenya, and open the books the same week

Name search, CR1, CR2, CR8, nominal capital, incorporation and KRA PIN. Then we open your books and keep you compliant from day one.

  • Incorporated properly
  • KRA PIN in place
  • Books open from day one
The challenge

Registering a company in Kenya is not difficult. Registering it correctly is.

The share structure gets set without thought and becomes expensive to change. The objects do not cover what the business actually does. Nobody keeps the statutory registers. The KRA PIN arrives and no returns are ever filed against it, so a dormant company quietly accrues penalties. Then, two years in, a bank or a landlord or a tender asks for a CR12 — and the paperwork does not exist.

What we handle

Registered, compliant and keeping books from week one.

Name search and reservation

Including telling you early when a name will not clear, so you are not already attached to it.

Incorporation

The full filing, with a share structure and objects that suit where the business is going.

KRA PIN and tax registration

With the right obligations registered — and not the ones that do not apply.

Statutory records

Registers, minute book, and the documents you will be asked for later.

Then keep you compliant

Books, a compliance calendar, and someone whose job it is to file the returns.

What you get

The difference it makes

  • Registered correctlyStructured for where you are going.
  • The right KRA obligationsAnd no accidental ones.
  • Statutory records that existWhen someone asks for them.
  • Compliant from day oneBooks and a filing calendar in place.

How long does company registration take?

Name reservation is usually quick. The rest depends on the Business Registration Service and on how complete your documents are when they go in. Incomplete submissions are the single biggest cause of delay, which is why we check before filing rather than after.

What does it cost?

Government fees plus our fee. We quote the two separately so you can see exactly which is which, rather than being given one number that hides the split.

Can a foreigner register a company in Kenya?

Yes, with additional requirements around directors, documentation and, in some sectors, ownership. Tell us the structure you are planning and we will tell you what applies before you commit to it.

Why use an accounting firm rather than a filing agent?

Because registration is the easy part. An agent files and leaves. We file, then open your books, register the right tax obligations and put you on a compliance calendar, so the company does not quietly accrue penalties against a PIN nobody is filing against.
