Set the books up properly
A chart of accounts that reflects how your business actually works. Multiple sites or revenue lines are separated from day one.
Monthly bookkeeping, reconciliations, management accounts and KRA filing — one team for your books, your tax and your payroll.
The books exist, but they close six weeks after the month ends. The bank balance is the only number anyone trusts. Nobody can say which part of the business made money last month and which part lost it. When a decision needs making, there is nothing to make it on. That is not a compliance failure. It is a management failure, and it compounds quietly.
A chart of accounts that reflects how your business actually works. Multiple sites or revenue lines are separated from day one.
Transactions captured, banks reconciled, supplier accounts maintained, debtors chased. Monthly, not annually.
A closed set of accounts by an agreed date each month — profit and loss, balance sheet, cash position.
A conversation, not a PDF left in your inbox. What moved, why, and what we would do about it.
Budgets, cash-flow forecasts and the working-capital picture, so you see the pinch coming before you are in it.
Most of the businesses on our books are hospitality. These are capabilities inside your accounting engagement — not a separate service to buy.
If your question is not here, message us. We answer questions without opening a file on you.
It depends on the volume and the state of the records, and we will tell you honestly once we have looked. Most catch-ups are weeks rather than months, and where deadlines demand it we clean up and file in parallel rather than waiting for a perfect set of books.
Not usually. We work with what you already have unless it is actively costing you time or accuracy. If a change is genuinely worth making we will say so and explain why, rather than moving you onto something because it suits us.
Yes. Transitions go better when they are handled properly, and we would rather take a clean handover than inherit a guess about what was done and why.
Monthly. A closed set of accounts by an agreed date each month, followed by a conversation about what moved and what we would do about it. A report nobody explains is not information.
